Dynamic scaling behavior of an interacting monomer-dimer model.

چکیده
We study the dynamic scaling behavior of a monomer-dimer model with repulsive interactions between the same species in one dimension. With infinitely strong interactions the model exhibits a continuous transition from a reactive phase to an inactive phase with two equivalent absorbing states. This transition does not belong to the conventional directed percolation universal-ity class. The values of dynamic scaling exponents are estimated by Monte Carlo simulations for two distinct initial configurations, one near an absorbing state and the other with an interface between two different absorbing states. We confirm that the critical behavior is consistent with that of the models with the mass conservation of modulo 2.

متن کاملKinetics of the monomer-monomer surface reaction model.
The two-dimensional monomer-monomer (AB) surface reaction model without diffusion is considered for infinitesimal, finite, and infinite reaction rates k. For equal reactant adsorption rates, in all cases, simulations reveal the same form of slow poisoning, associated with clustering of reactants. This behavior is also the same as that found in simulations of the two-dimensional voter model stud...
متن کاملBoundary monomers in the dimer model.
The correlation functions of an arbitrary number of boundary monomers in a system of close-packed dimers on a square lattice are computed exactly in the scaling limit. The equivalence of the 2n -point correlation functions with those of a complex free fermion is proved, thereby reinforcing the description of the monomer-dimer model by a conformal free-field theory with central charge c=1 .
متن کاملDynamic behavior of the monomer–monomer surface reaction model with adsorbate interactions
The monomer–monomer surface reaction model with an adsorbate interaction term is studied. An epidemic analysis of the poisoning times (tp) for small square lattices as a function of lattice edge length L and interaction strength a at the point of equal adsorption rates yields a dynamic scaling relation which describes the crossover between log-power-law and exponential behavior in L , and is ab...
